My Story
My name is Tammy Thompson, and I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I am a stay-at-home mom to 5 incredible kids!! 💜💜💜💙💙
My journey with the Scentsy family, started in 2013 after my last baby was just over a year old. As much as I absolutely loved being a mom - I started to feel like I didn't have anything that was just mine. At the time, the Scentsy family had a separate brand called Grace Adele. It was a line of purses and jewellery! Immediately when I saw it, I knew I needed to own some! So I thought, why not sign up as a consultant and maybe some of my friends and family might want to order as well.... if anything it would give me a fun hobby!! 😊
I fell in love with the brand & company. I poured my heart and soul into it. Just after 3 months, I found myself having earned a trip to Cancun!! ☀️ Shortly after that, I earned a trip to the Bahamas for both my husband and I! ☀️ After a year, I earned the FIRST spot for the Founder's Circle Award. 🌟 It's definitely an honor that I will always be thankful for!! 💜💚 So many blessings!!!! 🙌
A few weeks after earning that award, the Scentsy family announced they would be discontinuing the Grace Adele brand. I'm not gonna lie - I was pretty depressed for a while. However, the company was so incredibly good to me!! Before the announcement, the owners called me to tell me personally. They also gifted me and my husband a trip to St. Louis for the annual convention. I was recognized on stage for my achievements. They even surprised us with extras while we were there - like meeting Jim Gaffigan backstage! 😉 The hearts of our owners, are huge!! 💜💚 After that trip, I had a decision to make - do I move over and join scentsy? Truthfully, I almost didn't!! I was so depressed and also did not think I could make money selling 'wax'. SO many people told me not to. I would hear 'you probably won't be successful with that like you were with Grace Adele'..... ' The only people that are successful are the ones that started in the beginning' .....'There's way too many consultants already'.....
As upset as I was, I didn't have the heart to leave a company that I LOVED and believed in. I had started to find a better version of myself, and I strongly felt like God wanted me to ( even if I didn't). It definitely took me a while to find my groove..... but after only 10 months of being a Scentsy consultant, I promoted to DIRECTOR 🌟 I also earned another trip to Cancun ☀️ AND A trip for two to Cypress!!! ☀️ Talk about a dream come true!! 🙌 Just over a year later, I promoted to the second highest title in the company - STAR DIRECTOR. I also earned another trip on a Mexican cruise ☀️ But my biggest achievement was just around the corner - they had announced that the TOP 100 consultants worldwide, would earn an African safari!!! 🐘🐅🐘 I decided to work my business like I do every other day - passionately and authentically! And I did it!!!!! In June of 2017, my husband and I travelled on the most luxurious trip I have ever been on!!! A dream trip through South Africa!! 🙌 As I write this, I am filled with tears.... the emotions are because of one thing - what if I said no? What if I believed all the naysayers? What if I doubted myself? I can't even imagine......
I'm so thankful that God had a journey waiting for me - and a journey that would not have been possible without the beginning of Grace Adele - as well as the end. I am living an incredibly full and blessed life!!! 🙌 Thank you God!
